Maria is a Director of Corporate and Business Development at Pangea Botanica - focusing on finance, business development, and fundraising.
Prior to joining Pangea, Maria worked as a VP at Investcorp, where she invested in early- and growth-stage technology companies for over 5 years and provided board- and operational-level oversight and support to portfolio companies. She also served as an Associate in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, advising a diverse set of clients on corporate finance matters. Prior to this, Maria worked as a strategy and operations consultant at Deloitte in Portugal and Angola.
Maria holds a double master’s degree (Distinction) in International Business Administration and Finance from Católica Lisbon (CLSBE) and Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), and a bachelor’s degree in Management from University of Porto.
